Business card printing prices are based on printing cards four-up or eight-up.

The above configuration would be used to print an equal number of four different cards—for example, 1,000 cards each for four different staff members, for total order quantity of 4,000.


The above set-up would be used to print an equal number of two different cards. For example, this arrangement could be used to print cards for two different people, or cards for one person in both English and Spanish.	This set-up would be used to print cards in a three-to-one ratio. For example, a solo law practitioner might have 750 cards printed for himself and 250 cards printed for his paralegal, for a total order quantity of 1,000.

The four-up configuration can also be used in an A-A-B-C combination. For example, a law firm owner might order 1,250 cards for herself and 625 cards for each of her two associates, for a total order quantity of 2,500 cards.

The eight-up configuration is used for higher-quantity orders, and the resulting ratios can be manipulated using any combination of eight. For example, a law firm might use the eight available slots on the printing plate in an A-A-B-B-C-D-E-F configuration to print 1,000 cards each for two partners and 500 cards each for two associates, a paralegal and an office manager, for a total order quantity of 4,000 cards.

If your business card order falls outside the four-up or eight-up parameters—for example, if you need cards for five or nine different people—please contact me to request a custom quote.

Letterhead And Second Sheet Printing Options

Letterheads and second sheets are printed two-up or four-up.

You may print letterhead only, in which case the printing plate would have two copies of the letterhead design side by side.

Or you may split your order and have an equal number of letterheads and second sheets printed in the same press run.

You may also have letterhead and second sheets printed in a three-to-one ratio.

For example, if you print multiple-page service proposals, invoices and monthly statements on second sheets, you might order 1,000 letterheads and 3,000 second sheets, for a total order of 4,000 sheets. The printing plate would be set up as shown at left.

Of course, you could also order three times as many letterheads as second sheets.
